Privacy

This site is a set of static pages. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. Nothing you type here is sent to a server we run, because we don't run one.

The form on the contact page does not submit anywhere. When you press send, your browser opens your own email app with a message already written, addressed to the coach who handles that program. You choose whether to send it.

That means we receive your name, your email address, the program you picked, the diver's age if you filled it in, and whatever you wrote — as an ordinary email, in an ordinary inbox. We keep those emails as long as we need them to answer you and, if you join, to run the program. Ask us to delete one and we will.

Two small preferences are saved in your browser's local storage: whether you chose light or dark mode, and which class groups you last expanded on the programs page. Both stay on your device. Neither is ever transmitted to us or to anyone else, and neither is a cookie.

Clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes them.

The map on the contact page is a still image until you click it. Google receives nothing about your visit unless you choose to load the interactive map, at which point Google's own terms and privacy policy apply to that request.

Posts shown in the homepage gallery are copied to this site when it is built, so browsing them does not contact Instagram or identify you to it.

If a photograph of you or your diver appears anywhere on this site and you would like it taken down, email info@wrdivers.ca and we will remove it.

We coach children, so most people who contact us are parents or guardians writing about a minor. We ask for a diver's age only to point you at the right class, and only if you choose to give it. We do not ask children to create anything on this site, because there is nothing here to create.

A parent or guardian can ask us what we hold about their child, and ask us to correct or delete it, at any time.

This site is served by a third-party hosting provider. Like any web host, it records standard request information — such as IP address, time and the page requested — to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not have access to a visitor-level record of that, and we do not combine it with anything else.
